From Clean Girl to Full Glam

Going from a clean girl makeup routine to a full glam look can feel like a big step, and this client definitely had her doubts. She usually keeps her makeup very light whenever she goes out. She described herself as a "clean girl" and definitely not a "baddie," so the idea of a full glam look for her photoshoot made her a little nervous. She wasn't a big fan of heavy eyeshadow either and wanted to make sure she would still feel like herself. Because of that, we decided to do a trial makeup session one week before the actual photoshoot. It gave us the chance to experiment, talk through what she liked and didn't like, and find a balance between her usual style and the glam look we were going for. Of course, we had our little back-and-forth about the lashes. I recommended false lashes, she said no. I insisted a little on adding false lashes because I thought they would make the look even more perfect. 😂 She kept telling me that her natural lashes were already long enough, and honestly… she was right. We ended up skipping the false lashes, and the final look still turned out beautiful and very natural. But in my opinion, with the false lashes, it would have been PERFECT. After all the talking, testing, and adjusting, everything came together beautifully. The final look still felt like her, just a more elevated version of what she was used to. Most importantly, she loved the result and went on to enjoy her day and her photoshoot without feeling like she was wearing someone else's makeup. Sometimes the goal of full glam isn't to turn a clean girl into a baddie. It's to show her that she can step outside her usual comfort zone and still feel completely like herself.
